Allesley Parish Council
Welcome to Allesley Parish Council website.
The parish of Allesley is situated in Coventry and lies on the north-west fringe of Coventry. It is a rural parish within Coventry's Green Belt and is an extensive area of Ancient Arden countryside of historic landscape importance.
The Parish Council is the first tier of local government and represents the residents of Allesley parish. A parish council is a local authority and is the level of government closest to the community, with Coventry City Council above it in the hierarchy and the principal authority. There are approximately 700 electors who live within the parish.
Allesley Parish Council is served by 8 Councillors, who undertake the role on a voluntary basis, and are committed to representing the interests and views of residents.Once elected, parish councillors sit on the council for a period of four years, unless a vacancy arises during the four year term, when the parish council can fill the vacancy by co-option. Any vacancies are advertised on this website.
As it is the authority closest to the people, parish councils are invariably the first place people will go with concerns or ideas. For this reason they are a vital part of any community.
Please take some time to view all areas of the site and let us know how we may improve the service which we are providing.
